Customer Agreement
The following agreement is how Planterology, LLC is available to the Customer (confirmer of the Quotation). As well as what we expect from the Customer.
What can be expected of Planterology, LLC:
- We will provide the most complete agronomic perspective we can pertaining to the equipment pass, based upon what we know at the time. This can include discouraging the customer from considering a solution which we do not see as providing the best return for their operation.
- When new solutions are purchased, we ask the operator to help us with the maintenance of existing equipment, installation of the system(s) being added, and watch us setup the computerized systems (when applicable). We will then coach the operator on how to run the system, and assist with infield setup of the machine.
- Before each season we are here to coach the operator through complete planter maintenance, and we can service meters and / or row units as needed (subject to service pricing and our availability).
- As issues arise in the field we are here to help you resolve the issue over the phone. For issues which can not be resolved over the phone we will get to the field as promptly as we can to resolve the issue.
- The following response times are what we aim to provide you with:
- Out of field Phone Availability (out of season and general operation questions) (Monday – Friday, 1 pm to 5pm Central Time)
- Phone Calls: Returned in a business day
- Text: Replied to in a business day.
- Email: Replied to in 3 business days.
- In field Phone Availability (when running in the field and performance is compromised or equipment down) (Monday – Saturday, 7 am to 9 pm Central Time) (Call outside 8 am to 5pm are subject to an after hours call charge, see Service Section)
- Phone Calls: Call or text contact made in an hour.
- Text: Replied to in 4 business hours.
- Email: Replied to in 2 business days.
- If you can not reach your Client Success Advisor or our Support Team within these times, please call 806-545-3010 and select option 2 and someone will answer as soon as possible.
- Out of field Phone Availability (out of season and general operation questions) (Monday – Friday, 1 pm to 5pm Central Time)
What we expect from the Customer:
- As it pertains to the planter pass, we expect the Customer to have an understanding of where the operation is going and when considering additional solutions for their planting equipment, to prioritize the solutions which solve the greatest yield limiting areas. It is also expected that planting equipment be used on fields which are agronomically fit to be planted. Having full expectation to take the crop to yield.
- We expect the equipment operator to be involved in the maintenance and/or installation of new solutions to the machine.
- In field operation
- We expect the equipment operator to utilize available training materials to ensure we are using the equipment to its full potential.
- Utilizing diagnostic resources before calling in with infield issues.
- Proactively communicate issues as they are discovered.
- Follow our recommendations when something does not perform as expected.
- To ask questions, to ensure they understand fully.
Service:
- Meter Service (per meter)
- June - December: $45/row
- January - February: $55/row
- March - May: $75/row
- [Discounts: Withing 65 road miles of Dalhart, TX $5/meter, If the meters are off the planter $5/row, if the meters are clean and free of dust $5/meter)
- Pre Season Service / System Installs
- June - December: $120 per man hour
- January - February: $160 per man hour
- March - May: $190 per man hour
- [There is a $15/hr discount if the work is being done within 65 road miles of Dalhart, TX]
- In Field Service (Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm & Saturday 8 am - 12 pm Central Time)
- $150.00 per man hour
- If Meter Service or Pre Season Service was not utilized and we are requested to help resolve and issue which was preventable. This work will be billed out at $250 per man hour.
- After Hours Service (Monday - Friday 5 pm - 9 pm & Saturday 12 pm - 9 pm Central Time)
- Phone Support
- Calls during this time will be billed at $1/min for the duration of the call(s).
- In Field Service
- On site service time will be billed at $300 per man hour.
- If we are not finished by 9pm, we reserve the right to resume working the next morning, for the safety of our teams.
- Deliveries

- When parts are delivered and there is no Billable Service associated with that trip, we may charge up to the IRS mileage rate for the miles we drive to make the delivery.
- Rate Exceptions

- We reserve the right to charge more in circumstances of increased operating costs.
- This will be communicated before or at the start of service.
Warranty:
- All new parts which Planterology provides have a warranty to be free from manufacturing defects for the first season (the first season is defined as 365 days from when the part is shipped by the manufacture). Any part which has a defect will be replaced at no cost for the part to the customer. Service or delivery charges may apply.
- Used parts are sold with any remaining manufacturer warranty, otherwise it is sold as-is with no warranty unless otherwise specified.
- Parts which have normal wear, tear, abuse, and/or used in a way that it was not intended will not be covered under this warranty.
- Specific Warranty for Precision Planting Solutions
- Planterology shall not be held liable for any crop, revenue, or equipment productivity loss.
Returns:
- Any solutions which do not meet realistic expectation during the first season (not to extend past July 10th) that is agreed up between the customer and Planterology, LLC. Will be refunded in full, upon the complete return of said solution (in full working order) by August 1st. The Install Package, Service, any shipping charges, and consumables are not eligible for this refund.
- New parts may be returned within 60 day of the Sales Order Date for a full refund.
- All other returns are at the discretion of Planterology, LLC.
Payment Terms:
- Payments are due 10 days after the invoice date (unless otherwise specified). We reserve the right to not deliver parts until the invoice is paid in full.
- Past Due: Invoices not paid within 30 days of Due Date will be assessed a 1.5% finance charge each month (18% Annual Percentage rate)
Conditions for doing business with Planterology, LLC:
- The Customer has to agree to the above agreement in order to purchase solutions, parts, and / or receive service from Planterology, LLC
- If the customer does not adhere to the Customer Expectations section of this agreement. As well as at any time, Planterology, LLC reserves the right to refer the customer to another Precision Planting dealer for further support and service. In which case any remaining Install Package hours will be forfeited.
Agreement Duration:
- This agreement will be in effect from the date the initial Quotation is confirmed till August 1st of 2023, and cover all sales orders during the effective period.
